A New Beginning

This blog site is a place to talk frankly about church. I want to look at church from the perspective of what it should look like, if and why it is important, and where we should go with it in the future. It is also based in the experience of people, believers and non-believers alike. We are all hardwired to try to find God. So, how can we do that? Churches have become the place least likely to provide an experience of God. People feel that they are more likely to meet God in their jobs or in a conversation with a person over a beer than in a church. What an indictment of how Christian leaders have approached church. Well, I am actually going to set out to pastor a church that is real and authentic. Is it possible? Dialogue with me, and let's find out!
